Parenting Jags Group

This group is for IUPUI students who are interested in connecting with other student parents to build community, share resources, and discuss experiences of being a student parent. 

Group meetings will take place once per month in Campus Center 386 (The Cube). 

  • Tuesday, January 24 from 6-7 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 23 from 6-7 p.m. 
  • Tuesday, March 28 from 6-7 p.m. 
  • Thursday, April 20 from 6-7 p.m.

You can see a child’s development by how they play, learn, speak, and act. Parents and caregivers play a critical role in their child’s development. Providing a safe and loving home and spending time together – playing, singing, reading, and even just talking – can make a big difference! Come learn more about what milestones you should be expecting for your child and learn about the free tools available for tracking your child's development.

Toilet training is a process that requires patience and will take time. Typically, the last step in toileting independence is the ability to stay dry at night. Knowing when to ditch the diapers and how to go about it may seem overwhelming, even to the most seasoned parent! Join us in a discussion on when and how to do away with diapers forever.

Preschoolers can learn important literacy skills when they are playing! As the adult, you can support their literacy by modeling reading and letter recognition, creating problems to solve, and providing toys that encourage story-telling.
